Hermes Personal

Privacy policy

Hermes Personal is a private, self-hosted assistant integration operated by Darren Jack for his own use. This policy describes its personal Google Gmail and Drive connection.

Data accessed and purposes

Depending on the permissions granted and the requested workflow, the integration accesses Gmail message metadata, message content and labels, and Google Drive file metadata and file content. It uses this information for email review, summaries, selected email-to-task capture, and requested file operations. Eligible captured messages may be labelled and archived after the corresponding task is verified.

Processing and storage

OAuth credentials are stored on the operator’s self-hosted system. Email or file content, summaries, task records, operational checkpoints and conversation history may be retained by the services involved in a workflow. Relevant content may be sent to configured AI providers for processing, to the Task Manager application for task capture, and to configured report destinations such as Telegram. This is not an exclusively local-processing system.

Processing is for the operator’s productivity workflows, not advertising or sale of Google user data. Credentials must not be placed in this public website directory.

Retention and deletion

Retention depends on the source mailbox, files, task records, conversation history and configured service settings; no fixed automatic deletion period is promised here. The operator can review and delete retained records in those systems. Revoking Google access stops future authorised access but does not automatically delete previously stored records.

Control and revocation

Google access can be reviewed or removed through Google Account third-party connections. Removing access will prevent workflows from accessing Google until authorisation is renewed.
